NICKERSON, Kan. — Sheriff Randy Henderson now says, after receiving some tips from the public, they believe they know the identity of female which is the focus of a suspicious death investigation. However, positive identification cannot be made until confirmation from the Coroner’s Office at the Sedgwick County Forensic Science Center.

As we first told you on Hutch Post, the Sheriff’s Office, along with the KBI, began investigating the found body in a small creek near 43rd & Riverton Road.

The Sheriff’s Office says a passerby apparently discovered the woman’s body Monday afternoon. The female was wearing dark athletic clothing and had numerous tattoos. The tattoo on her left forearm was of four paw prints, possibly wolf tracks, with no color. A tattoo on her left calf is some type of vine with colored stars.

Residents of this area advised officials that earlier in the day, they observed two blue pickup trucks, a white Dodge Magnum and three individuals at the bridge near the creek bed. Officials say they are wanting to speak with those individuals.

As with any unattended death, they’re treating the death as suspicious until they can prove otherwise.
