PLEASANTVIEW, Kan. – As part of a Kansas Department of Transportation asphalt overlay project on US-50 Highway currently underway near Pleasantview, the curved ramp connecting northbound K-61 Highway to eastbound US-50 will be detoured on Monday and Tuesday.

The detoured traffic on northbound K-61 connecting to eastbound US-50 will be controlled by flagmen and pilot car, so drivers can expect delays of up to 15 minutes. The westbound US-50 Highway connection to southbound K-61 Highway will be unaffected by this project.

Officials urge all motorists to be alert, obey the warning signs, and “Give ‘Em a Brake!” when approaching and driving through a highway work zone.

Persons with questions about this road work or other KDOT projects can call South Central Kansas Public Affairs Manager, Martin Miller, at 620-663-3361 or toll free at 1-877-550-5368.
