NEWTON, Kan. — A 75-year-old Wichita woman was injured after she lost control of her vehicle in Harvey County.

Joann Morton was southbound on I-135 when her vehicle left the roadway to the left, struck a guardrail and bridge railing. Her vehicle then crossed the southbound lanes, then left the roadway on the right, coming to rest on the right shoulder of the bridge.

Morton was taken to Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The accident occurred around 8:35 a.m. Monday on the bridge of K-196 south of Newton.
