HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The second teen that was airlifted to a Wichita Hospital after a one-vehicle
accident has been upgraded to fair condition.

Wesley Medical Center reported that Dalton Stoecklein’s condition is improving. Stoecklein was one of five teens riding in a truck that crashed Thursday afternoon east of Hutchinson. The accident claimed the life of 15-year-old Aaron Powers, who died in Wichita over the weekend.

They were in a pickup truck driven by 18-year-old Dawson Lehman when the truck went out of control while heading west on 43rd. The truck left the road and rolled over several times before coming to rest in a wheat field just before 1 p.m. near Rayl Road.

Another passenger, 15-year-old Reighn Armstong, was taken by EMS to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, while the fourth passenger, 15-year-old Samuel Tarbox, was treated at the scene and released with permission from his parents.

Lehman was not injured in the accident.
