NEWTON, Kan. – The Harvey County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash where a van struck some equipment in a construction site, this on U.S. 50 between Newton and Walton.

They believe the vehicle may have been stolen and the driver of the van was not located.

Preliminary damage estimates to construction site and the equipment could be as high as a half million dollars.

This occurring in the early morning hours, so workers were present at the time and there were no injuries to any workers.
