A former Arlington City Council member who entered guilty pleas as charged to 14-counts involving child molestation was sentenced to 14-life terms today, but Judge Joe McCarville allowed concurrent sentencing after denying a downward departure. 

Shane Zink will not be eligible for parole for 25-years, but may still face an uphill battle to be set free. 

District Attorney Keith Schroeder referred to him as a sexual predator meaning he could be in custody in some form for the rest of his life. 

He entered the pleas to 6-counts of aggravated indecent liberties with child, and 8-counts of sexual exploitation of a child. 

The sexual conduct with the child starting on March 12, of 2009 and the last encounter on April 18, of last year. 

The alleged victim telling officials, she stayed at Zink’s home back on April 18 of last year, and alleges photos were taken of her in sexual positions by Zink. She also claims that he touched her in an inappropriate way twice during that stay, once that evening, and again the next morning. But, now officials says the alleged sexual abuse started clear back in March of 2009.
