The weather play havoc with travelers all through out New Mexico, Texas and Kansas.

That included Amtrak’s Southwest Chief which was delayed by more than 8 hours coming from the west Tuesday morning. The west bound train was also experiencing delays due to bad weather.

The east bound train normally arrives in Hutchinson around 2:20 in the morning. Passengers scurried to and from the train in a driving snow storm in Hutchinson Just after 10:30. Many roads and interstate highways were closed in Kansas, New Mexico and Texas due to snow and strong winds.
