HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Although gas prices have risen some, then dropped a little, the price locally for regular unleaded remains below the state average of $2.15 per gallon.

The price locally, as of early Tuesday morning, is at $2.09 per gallon. That’s higher than where it was at one point earlier this month when the price was just under $2.00. However, the price had risen to $2.19, but has since dropped again to the current price.

Kansas ranks behind Missouri and Oklahoma regionally on gas prices. The average price in Missouri is $2.07, Oklahoma at $2.14 and Kansas at $2.15 per gallon, according to Triple A.

Colorado has the highest price at $2.48 per gallon, while the price in Nebraska is at $2.37.
