HUTCHINSON, Kan. – One person was taken to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center to be checked out after a two vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon at 5th & Main.

Thirty Four-year-old Oshua Sikes was cited for failing to yield after the vehicle he was operating struck the vehicle driven by 57-year-old Patricia Schmidtberger.

Sikes was traveling northbound and attempting to make a left turn on to 5th, pulled in front of Schmidtberger, causing the collision. A female passenger in the Sikes vehicle was transported according to police, however the ambulance left the scene non-emergency.

The accident did close southbound traffic on Main from 6th south to 4th.

The accident occurring around 1:20 p.m.
