SALINA – A 46-year-old Salina man was arrested on Christmas eve, accused of attempted second-degree murder after allegedly cutting another man on the face and head with a knife.

Lt. Scott Siemsen says Michael F. Camp, of 1036 E. Iron, is accused of pulling a knife and cutting 53-year-old Bryan Thomas, of Salina, after a verbal confrontation turned physical. The incident allegedly occurred at 715 E. Ash around 2:53 a-m.

Thomas was cut on the left cheek and also had a puncture wound on the left side of his head above his ear.

Thomas was reportedly treated and released from Salina Regional Hospital.
