HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The tenth annual Education Forum, sponsored by Hospice and Homecare of Reno County, has been scheduled for Oct. 22-23 in Hutchinson and McPherson.
The Oct. 22 session is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. in the Hess Education Center at McPherson Hospital, 1000 Hospital Dr. in McPherson. A second session is planned for 9 a.m.-Noon Oct. 23 in the Trade Center Community Room at 1600 N. Lorraine St. in Hutchinson.
Sue Lyn Schramm, a healthcare executive and consultant representing the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, will be the keynote speaker for both sessions.
Schramm’s remarks will explain the uses and benefits of palliative care.
Amy Claassen, Chaplain for Hospice and Homecare of Reno County, is slated to speak both days on the varying ways individuals experience spirituality while dealing with end-of-life circumstances.
