Hutchinson Police Officials confirm that a 32-year-old Hutchinson man who was taken to a Wichita hospital with severe head injuries after a motorcycle crash in Carey Park has died. 

Joshua G Nienke of 2104 Tyler was pronounced dead after being taken off life support while at Via-Cristi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita. He was flown there after the accident due to severe head injuries he sustained in the motorcycle collision early Sunday. 

Witness’s say they saw a motorcycle southbound on Main and enter the park at a high rate of speed. The road turns sharp left once inside the park and Nienke drove off the roadway and struck a sign. The witness’s reported he had no head light, and was not wearing a motorcycle helmet.

The accident reported around 4:30 a-m Sunday morning.
