A 31-year-old man was jailed after he allegedly caused a disturbance and injured a victim in a domestic case.

James Witt faces possible charges of aggravated battery, domestic violence, criminal damage, and disorderly conduct.

Police were called Sunday on the report of an armed subject and when they arrived they learned that he had gotten into an altercation where he bit the victim on the thumb so hard, that the victim may have needed stitches, that according to statements made in court.

He also allegedly knocked over a refrigerator in that residence in the 1400 block of West 2nd.

Magistrate Judge Cheryl Allen set bond at $1,500, however should he post that bond, he won’t be able to have any contact with the victims.

He’ll be back in court next Monday for the formal reading of any charges the state may file.
