Family donates Kansas truck driver’s organs

JUNCTION CITY (AP) – Relatives of a man who was badly injured in a cement truck accident in eastern Geary County say he has died after being removed from life support.

Family member David Miller says 29-year-old Travis Kemph was taken off life support at 2:04 a.m. Friday after a team of doctors removed his organs to donate to others.

Miller says funeral arrangements are being made for burial in Newton. Kemph was from Newton but living in Manhattan.

Kemph was driving a full cement truck Tuesday when it toppled onto its side while entering Interstate 70 from Kansas 18.
