HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hospice and Homecare of Reno County will launch the 28th annual “Remember Me Tree” campaign on Nov. 27 at four area locations in an effort to raise additional funds to support the organization’s efforts to assist families dealing with end-of-life care.

Darla Wilson, Executive Director for Hospice and Homecare of Reno County, said the yearly fund drive concludes on Dec. 22.

Between those dates, Hospice representatives will be positioned alongside a Christmas tree near the east entrance of the Dillons Marketplace Store from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and on Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the Lyons Federal Bank from 8:30 a.m.to 4:00 p.m. at 200 East Ave. South.

Also, area residents may drop off their donations at the Hutchinson office of Hospice and Homecare of Reno County from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays in Suite 203 of the Trade Center at 1600 N. Lorraine. Or, those wishing to make a donation in the McPherson area are invited to visit the McPherson office of Hospice and Homecare of Reno County from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays at 1318 N. Main.

Those donating $25 or more will receive a porcelain tree ornament and those contributing $50 or more will be given a Willow Tree Angel.

Wilson said all funds raised during the 26-day fundraising effort are earmarked for the agency’s hospice and bereavement programs.

“The Remember Me Tree program is an exemplary way to give a special gift in memory of a loved one, or in honor of someone who has made a special impact on your life,” Wilson said.

The 2014 Remember Me Tree program raised $40,668 to support Hospice programs.

Hospice and Homecare of Reno County serves residents who reside within a 50-mile radius of Hutchinson.
