HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Employees of the Hutchinson Correctional Facility raised approximately $1,000 last week through a dress down day for Prostate Cancer Awareness.

The original goal had been set at $300. In addition to the dress down day, several staff volunteered to shave off their beards at the facility if the goal was exceeded.

The shave off occurred on Nov. 23 in the facility Rotunda.

All of the funds will be donated to the Reno County Cancer Council located in Hutchinson.
