WICHITA- Two adults and a child from Hutchinson were injured in an accident just after 3:30 p.m. on Sunday in Sedgwick County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Ford Crown Victoria driven by Melvin W. Zahn, Jr., 25, Hutchinson was changing lanes from the middle lane to the left lane on northbound Interstate 235 just south of the north Interstate 235 junction in Wichita

The driver lost control. The vehicle exited the roadway and struck a KDOT overhead sign pole.

Zahn and passengers Joelle B. Smith, 23, and Jerry W. Smith, 5-months, both of Hutchinson, were transported to Wesley Medical Center.

All were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
