WELLSVILLE, Kan. (AP) – Franklin County Sheriff’s investigators say a 56-year-old Wellsville man died in an accidental shooting last weekend at his home.
After Sean Thomson was found dead Saturday afternoon, officials said they were investigating a possible homicide because he was home alone at the time of the shooting.
Master Deputy Jerrod Fredricks, a sheriff’s spokesman, said Tuesday that investigators believe Thomson was handling a gun when it accidentally fired.
The Lawrence Journal-World reports that Thomson’s obituary indicates he worked for 20 years at Liberty Hall in downtown Lawrence.
