Ronald Wilber ‘Duff’ Scott, 84, died Sunday, September 10, 2017, at his home in Hutchinson. He was born July 20, 1933, in Arkansas City, the son of Kenneth W. and Gladys M. (Crick) Scott. Ron graduated from Hutchinson High School and Hutchinson Community College. He served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 and retired as a mechanic and small business owner.

On August 26, 1956, Ron married Mary Lou McIntire in Harper. She died January 4, 2015.

He is survived by: three daughters; 10 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at Harper Cemetery, Harper, at a later date. Donald J. ‘D.J.’ Kenyon, 91, passed away September 9, 2017, at Hutchinson Hospital, after a short illness. D.J. was born on December 24, 1925, in Wausau, Wisconsin, to Royal J. and Daisy (Gallup) Kenyon.

D.J. was a Boy Scout and a graduate of Hutchinson High School and Hutchinson Community College. He served during WWII in the 8th division and 121st Infantry of the United States Army. Then, D.J. worked for the Santa Fe and BNSF Railroad as a switchman for 39 years.

On January 1, 1950, he married Blanche Hunt in Hutchinson. They were married 65 years and enjoyed their many friends at Wilson and Kanopolis Lakes. He also enjoyed visiting with his fellow war veterans. D.J. was also an avid bow archer and motorcycle rider.

Survivors include: sons, Rick Kenyon and wife Marty, John Kenyon, all of Hutchinson; daughter, Valorie Emmerich of Hollywood, Florida; and grandchildren, Justin, Cody, and Taylor Kenyon, Zachery South and Joseph Emmerich. He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Blanche; son, Walter J. Kenyon; infant daughter, Jenea Kenyon; and sister, Marguerite Walters.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 15, 2017, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Matt Stafford presiding. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military honors conducted by Fort Riley Honor Guard. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Lloyd Dean Kelsey, 81, of South Hutchinson, died Friday, September 8, 2017, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born July 16, 1936, in Bushton, to Merle Walker and Violetta (Dean) Kelsey.

Lloyd graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1954 and Emporia State University in 1964. His first job after high school was working at Rainbow Bread. After college, from 1964- 1966, he worked at Pierce Faris as a Certified Public Accountant. From 1966-1983, he was the treasurer/secretary for Winchester Packing Company. Lloyd worked from 1982-1989 at Shears Construction as the Vice-President of Finance. After retirement, he worked from 1989-1997 at Silver Dollar City in merchandising and as cash room manager. Lloyd was a member of Maranatha Mennonite Church.

Lloyd was very active in the community. He served on the board of directors for Boy Scouts and started the Hadley Boy Scout Troop, serving as their scoutmaster. He also served on the Hutch Bronc’s baseball board and the YMCA board and coached Little League baseball. Lloyd was in the first horn section of the Sky Ryders Drum and Bugle Corps.

On July 23, 1983, he married Ann Christine Wegner in Ames, Iowa. They shared 34 years of marriage.

Survivors include: wife, Ann of South Hutchinson; sons, Mark Kelsey (Shannon) of Atlanta, Georgia, Michael Kelsey (Dianne) of Hutchinson; daughters, Michelle Gibson of Cincinnati, Ohio, Julie Wilson (Eric) of Hutchinson, Jennifer Jeffrey (John) of Galena; mother, Violetta Elstun of South Hutchinson; siblings, Dwayne Kelsey (Ruth) of Rochester Hills, Michigan, Donald Kelsey (Sandy) of Hutchinson, Richard Kelsey (Shelley) of Kimberling City, Missouri, Robert Kelsey of Stafford, Suzanne Morgan, Cindy Woodworth (David), Dan Kelsey (Terry) Jimmy Kelsey (Danita); sister-in-law, Rose Kelsey, all of Hutchinson; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his father, Merle; brothers, Eugene Kelsey, David Kelsey, John Morgan; sisters, Donna Kelsey; sister-in-law, Carol Kelsey; and nephew, David J. Kelsey.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2017, at Maranatha Mennonite Church, 3115 Blanchard SW, Hutchinson, with Pastor Paul Nisly officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. The family will greet visitors from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church. William K. “Bill” Krepps III, 88, of Hutchinson, passed away September 8, 2017, at Wesley Towers. He was born March 23, 1929, in New Rochelle, New York, to William K. and Dorothy (Conner) Krepps, Jr.

Bill came to Hutchinson from Chicago to manage the Three Sister’s Store. He then worked at Cessna Corporation for 30 years. After retirement from Cessna, he worked at Hutchinson Community College. Bill was a professional drummer and loved football. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Bill attended First Church of God. He was the best husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, always there to provide for his family and to help them in any way possible.

Bill married Carolyn Elder and they had two sons, Richard and Barry.

On November 3, 1956, he married a widow, Virginia Miller Campbell. They shared 61 years of marriage. Bill gained four more children marrying Virginia, and then they had three additional children.  Bill is survived by: wife, Virginia of the home; children, Kevin Krepps, Kelly Wesley (Michael), both of Hutchinson, Cary Krepps of Ellsworth, Dana VanGotten (Charles), Scott T. Campbell, all of Hutchinson, Kim Campbell (Nora), Robin Campbell (Cindy), all of Arlington, Texas, Richard Krepps of Sunnyvale, California, Barry Brenton Krepps (Cindy) of Windermere, Florida; 23 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at First Church of God, 704 N. Jefferson, Hutchinson, with Pastor Tim Kraft officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with military honors conducted by the United States Navy Honor Guard. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, with the family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Cindy Renee Ratzlaff Mounce, 49, died September 5, 2017, at her home in Hutchinson. She was born August 1, 1968, in McPherson, to Robert A. and Charlotte (Nelson) Ratzlaff. Cindy attended Inman High School and was a cashier at Dollar Tree. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and crocheting.

Cindy is survived by: husband, Randy Mounce; daughter, Christina Dieker and fiancé Don of Haven; son, Cornelius Witt and fiancée Amber; parents, Robert and Charlotte Ratzlaff; brother, Andrew Ratzlaff and wife Angie, all of Hutchinson; sisters, Amy Walts of Elkmont, AL, Julie Cook of Soloman; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by: her grandparents; son, Jovi Dieker; grandson, Ezekiel McCroy; niece, April Hon; great-niece and nephew, Michael and Franki.

Cremation has taken place. Celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2017, at the gazebo in Carey Park, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
