Faith L. Srader | 1955 – 2018 |

Faith Lavonne Srader, 63, of Hutchinson, died October 17, 2018, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born August 2, 1955, in El Dorado, the daughter of Marvin C. and Billie L. (White) Srader.

Faith worked various jobs over the years, including waitressing, Ineeda Cleaners, Hutchinson Hospital, and as a corrections officer at Hutchinson Correctional Facility. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, and loved to sew, cook, and celebrate loved ones’ birthdays and anniversaries.

In 1979, Faith married Dennis Twombly in Newton. They later divorced. She is survived by: sons, Andy Twombly of Newton, Brian Bonham (Heather) of Wichita; grandchildren, Will, Junior, and Kenzie; sister, Sue Richards of Hutchinson; brothers, Lawrence Srader (Mayra) of Deming, NM, Patrick Srader, and Dennis Srader (Debbie) all of Hutchinson; several nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins. Faith was preceded in death by her parents and aunt, Lou Walker.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 140 E 30th Ave., Hutchinson, with Pastor Tim Carey officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with family present from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, at Elliott Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to American Heart Association or Hutchinson Animal Shelter, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.

Anna Thorpe Zwanzig | 1928 – 2018 |

Anna Thorpe Zwanzig, 90, died October 10, 2018, in Hutchinson. Anna was born on April 25, 1928, in Compton, CA, to Henry and Martha Louise (Getchell) Zimmerman. She graduated from Compton High School in 1946 and was a Salvation Army member for 86 years and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 50 years.

She is survived by: daughters, Margaret “Peggy” Jost (Roger), League City, TX, Anna Marie Stevens, Hutchinson; stepdaughter Laura Zwanzig Ferreira; sister, Frances Magnuson; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: husbands, Joseph M. Thorpe and Ben D. Zwanzig; son, Richard Joseph Thorpe; grandsons, Chris Hood and Buster Machado; parents; brothers,  George, Irwin , Fritz, Hietz, Thomas, Albert and Abraham Zimmerman; sisters, Chestina Baker, Elizabeth Bommer and Nita Hodgkiss.

There will be a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. on October 27, 2018, at the Hutchinson Salvation Army, 700 N. Walnut, Hutchinson, KS, followed by a fellowship dinner. Burial was held at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, CA on October 18, 2018.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main St., Hutchinson, KS  67501.

Shelley Lee Buch | 1953 – 2018 |

Shelley Lee Buch, 65, of Hutchinson, died Monday, October 15, 2018, at her home. She was born September 24, 1953, in Dodge City, the daughter of Stanley and Phyllis (Pinaire) Vogel.

Shelley graduated from Dodge City High School in 1971 and Wichita State University in 1975. She worked as an auditor for Advance Inventory Services. Shelley was a member of Church of the Holy Cross, Hutchinson, and the Holy Cross Altar Society. She loved to cook, attend craft shows, and follow her nieces and nephews sports and activities.

On November 24, 1995, Shelley married Michael E. Buch in Tucson, AZ. He survives. Also surviving are: stepson, Jon-Mikel Gates and spouse John Tuttle-Gates of Olympia, WA; stepdaughter, Alicia Guardado and husband Andrew of Fort Collins, CO; grandchildren, Reilly and Drew Guardado; brothers, David Vogel and wife Tricia of Hutchinson, Scott Vogel and wife Dena of Kinsley; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Christopher and Ned Vogel.

Parish Rosary will be 7 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2018, at Church of the Holy Cross, 2631 Independence Rd., Hutchinson, led by Father Aaron Spexarth. The family will greet friends following. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2018, at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Wright, KS, with Father Robert Schremmer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.

Elizabeth “Liz” Jane Nunley (Chronister) | 1948 – 2018 |

Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Jane Nunley (Chronister), 69, formerly of Hutchinson, died October 12, 2018, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born November 10, 1948, in Hayti, Missouri, to Laura Mae Miller and William ‘Dot’ Chronister.

Liz attended Hutchinson High School. She retired from nursing in 2002, in Hutchinson. Liz loved spending time with her children, 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

On March 12, 1979, she married Tony M. Nunley in Hutchinson. Liz is survived by: children, Shontina Tipton (Vince), Angela Tipton-Breckenridge (James), Milissa Tipton-Dunkins (Bruce), all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; son, Edward Lemar Tipton (Leslie) of Wichita; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; stepmother, Ruby Chronister; and siblings, all of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Tony; son, Sadela LaDon Johnson; and the children’s father, Edward ‘Eddie’ Tipton.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018, at New Resurrection Church, 500 W. Avenue A, Hutchinson, with the Reverend C.R. Crumble Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2018, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.

Memorials may be made to the Elizabeth Nunley Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.

James E. “Jimmy” Pace | 1959 – 2018 |

James E. ‘Jimmy’ Pace, 59, of Hutchinson, died Saturday, October 13, 2018, at his home, in Hutchinson. He was born October 4, 1959, in Burlington, North Carolina, to Mack and Nina Mae (Griffin) Pace.

Jimmy graduated from Buhler High School and attended Hutchinson Community College. He retired as a machinist at Eaton Corporation. Jimmy enjoyed automobiles, motorcycles, fishing, and his pets.

Jimmy is survived by: daughters, Stephanie Pace of Hutchinson, Karla Boardman (Brian) of South Hutchinson; grandchildren, Hannah, T.J., Jack, Brantley, Karson; mother and stepdad, Nina and Larry Dreiling of Inman; brother, Tim Pace of Wichita; aunt, Jearline Arrowood of Graham, NC; and many cousins and extended family. He was preceded in death by: his father; grandparents; and aunts, Linda Crawford and Ann Cates.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2018, at Elliott Chapel, with Ryan Wray officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hutchinson Animal Shelter, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501. The family requests those attending to dress casual. There will be a dinner following Jimmy’s service for all attending.

Connie Lou Foust | 1943 – 2018 |

Connie Lou Foust, 75, died October 13, 2018, at her home.  She was born August 22, 1943, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Charles E. and Bette L. (McKenna) Gardner.

Connie graduated from high school in Rice Lake Wisconsin in 1961. She was an advocate for disabled learning in public schools and she and her husband, Bud, were co-owners of the club El Capitan for 20 years.

Connie married Darrell Kenneth Morrow in Hutchinson. They later divorced. On February 23, 1984, she married Harold ‘Bud’ Foust in Hutchinson. He died October 14, 2013.

Connie is survived by: daughter, Betsy Miller of Hutchinson; son Chod Darrell Morrow and wife Wendy of Viola; grandsons, Derek Manzanares of Manhattan, KS, Chod Garrett Morrow and Carter Darrell Morrow of Viola; and granddaughter, Sydney Shea Morrow of Viola. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jim Gardner.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 19, 2018, at Elliott Chapel, with the Reverend Dr. Kim Biery officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to Susan G. Komen, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
