Robert ‘Bob’ Lee Vincent, 76, of Hutchinson, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, August 12, 2018, in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born June 3, 1942, in Wichita, the son of Lloyd L. and Waneta (Chiles) Vincent.

Bob spent his childhood in Abbyville, KS, later moving to Hutchinson, where he lived until moving to Omaha, Nebraska in 2013. He was a 1960 graduate of Hutchinson High School and attended Hutchinson Community College. He served on the board and was a member of the Lions Club, Sky Ryders Drum & Bugle Corps, and the Opticians Association of Kansas for many years. He owned The Eyewear Shoppe, Hutchinson, and Hertzler Clinic Optical in Halstead. Bob enjoyed driving and showing his 1946 Ford Coupe and was a member of the Mid State Street Rods car club in Hutchinson.

Bob is survived by: his children, Rhonda Miller (Brian) of Omaha, NE, Darren Vincent (Marta Herrera) of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Staci Wade (Chris) of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Lindsay, Reece, RJ, Mekenzie, Cameron, Allyson and Sophia; sister, Sherril Becker ( Darrel) of Nixa, MO; and former wife, Deanna Vincent of Hutchinson. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, August 18, 2018, at Elliott Chapel. Inurnment will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, with family present Saturday from 1 p.m. to service time at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

Roger ‘Huggie Bear’ Frischenmeyer, 52, died Saturday, August 11, 2018, at his home in Hutchinson. He was born August 24, 1965, in Hutchinson, to Beverly Joyce Cunningham (Morgan).

Roger graduated from Buhler High School in 1984 and received his Associates Degree from Hutchinson Community College in 2003. He enjoyed being a mentor. Roger started as an Independent Living Specialist in 2001 and then became an advocate for Prairie Independent Living Resource Center Inc. He was on the board for KYEA, a mentor at Youth Leadership Forum, board member for Disability Rights of Kansas and Kansas Assisted Technology, was a member of the National Council of Independent Living Region 7, and Kansas State Disability Mentoring Day and numerous other groups advocating for disabilities. Roger was the founder of the Reno County Disability Mentoring Day in 2001.

Roger is survived by: brothers, Bryan and Bruce, both of Hutchinson, and AJ Frischenmeyer of Clearwater; sister, Rona Cellers (David) of Hutchinson; nephews, Jeremy, Anthony (Gabby Quinonez), Casey Frischenmeyer (Theresa), all of Hutchinson, Kris Richards of Partridge, Joshua Cellers of Hutchinson, and Aaron Mathew Cellers of Hutchinson; nieces, Kylie and Andi Lynn Frischenmeyer, both of Joplin, MO, Heather Dawn Kortus (Adam) of Inman, Darianne Frischenmeyer of Topeka, and Chloe Frischenmeyer of Sterling; numerous great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles; and several children he took into his care, who he dearly loved. Roger was preceded in death by: his mother; brother, Brad Cunningham; maternal grandparents, William and Rachel Morgan; paternal grandparents, Anthony and Mary Frischenmeyer; uncle, Carl Frischenmeyer; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be announced at a later date by Elliott Mortuary.

Dixie K. Heinrich, 80, of Hutchinson, died August 10, 2018, at Diversicare of Sedgwick. She was born October 1, 1937, in Oakley, Kansas, to Harley and Margaret Irene (Eads) Fulton.

Dixie graduated from Oakley High School in 1955 and cosmetology school in 1956. She was a homemaker and co-owner of the family business, Midwest Sewing Center, Wichita. Dixie enjoyed collecting unicorns and carousels, sewing, and eating at Village Inn. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson.

On August 18, 1956, she married Kenneth J. Heinrich in Grinnell, Kansas. He died January 29, 2010, after sharing 53 years of marriage.

Dixie is survived by: son, Troy Heinrich and wife Mary; daughter, the Reverend Dr. Kim Biery and husband Bud; grandchildren, Kenneth Biery, Michael Biery and fiancée Azarah Eells, Margaret ‘Maggie’ Glover and husband Zach, and Christopher Heinrich.  She was preceded in death by: her parents and brother, Gary Fulton.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2018, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1602 N. Main, with the Reverend Lennie Maxwell officiating. Inurnment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Gertrude Catherine ‘Gerti’ Rotticci, 86, of Hutchinson, died August 9, 2018, at Brookdale Senior Living, Hutchinson. She was born January 9, 1932, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Joseph and Helen (Habiger) Keiser.

Gertrude graduated from Judge Memorial High School in Salt Lake City, UT in 1950. She moved to Hutchinson on October 16, 2017, due to the Santa Rosa California fire.

On January 17, 1953, she married Henry Joseph Rotticci in Salt Lake City, UT. He passed away on March 7, 2014.

Gertrude is survived by: daughters, Catharine Tjogas of Ingram, TX, Deborah Shadle of Lafayette, LA, Cindy Hernandez of San Jose, CA, and Lynn Grant of Santa Rosa, CA; three sisters; one brother; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; two brothers; three sisters; two brothers- in- law; and two sisters-in-law.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at a later date in California. Inurnment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery in Rio Vista, CA.  Memorials may be made to Brookdale Senior Living- Clare Bridge, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.

Daniel Seymour Welchons, 81, of Hutchinson, left August 8, 2018, to go where it is bright and happy and loving.

He was born in Independence, KS, but grew up in Hutchinson. He was the son of Daniel Albert Welchons and Jane Seymour Welchons, deceased. Dan has a sister, Jane Welchons Twibell of Tucson, Arizona.

Dan graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1955 and Kansas University in 1960. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and remained close with many fraternity brothers and college and high school friends.  Dan pursued business in California for years before returning to Hutchinson to be with his loving aunt, Crosby Seymour Stevens, and take over management of the Seymour Ranch, outside of Larned, KS. He had several side businesses in Hutchinson while pursuing his task at the Seymour Ranch.

Dan leaves behind: his wife, Jannene Foust Welchons of the home; his stepdaughter, Deana Beardmore of Kansas City; Dan’s only child, a son, Douglas Scott Welchons and wife Kristy; and his beloved 11 grandchildren from California.

Dan attended Holy Cross Catholic Church. He was a cowboy at heart, loving his horses and cattle operation. Many will miss his gentle smile and quiet ways. Dan enjoyed a full life and will be terribly missed by his wife, sister, son and grandchildren.
