Samuel R. Bivins, 68, of Hutchinson, died May 15, 2019, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. Samuel was born September 29, 1950, in DeQueen, Arkansas, the son of Johnny and Ruby (Rogers) Bivins.
In 1966, Samuel enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. After serving in the Army, Samuel worked at Red River Army Depot.
On December 16, 1986 he married Nancy Smith in DeQueen, Arkansas. Samuel is preceded in death by his parents; and a sister Joanna Bivins. Survivors include his wife, Nancy; children, Needia Faulkner, Lisa Marie Charonister, Betty Jo Talley, and Mercedes Malloy; grandchildren, Samantha Talley, Kayla Talley, Stormie Malloy, and Zachary Talley; great grandchildren,
Kallie Seck and Daniel Robert Malloy; sisters, Anita Bivins, Dena Bivins and Twila Bivins; brothers, Donnie Bivins, Randy Bivins and Danny Bivins.
There will be no public visitation as cremation was chosen.
An inurnment will be held at a later date.

Brandon G. Freeman, 58, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, in Florida. He was born February 10, 1961, in Larned, Kansas. Cremation has taken place.
Brandon graduated from Nickerson High School in 1979 and was honored to make it to state in wrestling competitions. He served in the Army and was stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana. After his Military service, he worked in construction and then in the communication tower industry for over 30 years. During that time he traveled the United States from coast to coast. On his time off, he enjoyed the great outdoors and all it had to offer. He got the privilege to sail to Cuba, the U.S. Virgin Islands and The Bahamas with his boss.
Brandon is survived by his daughter, Morgan from Maine; his parents, Elbert and Linda Freeman, Hutchinson; brothers, Justin and wife Gretchen, McPherson; Troy and wife Sandy, Canton; sister Tamisha Hastings and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Edith Freeman, and Albert and Rosemarie Koestel.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.

Ruth Eisiminger, 98, of Hutchinson, died May 13, 2019, at Pleasant Hills, Hutchinson. She was born September 27, 1920, to Simon Leslie and Fannie (Perry) Cooper in Nickerson. Ruth graduated from Reno County (Nickerson) High School in 1938.
On November 27, 1939, she married Floyd H. Eisiminger, in Kingman. They shared over 59 years of marriage before his death on March 12, 1999.
They had two children, Patricia and Ernestine, and raised them both on their family farm in rural Partridge, where Ruth was a homemaker, and cook at Partridge Grade School for 17 years. She was a member of the Partridge Community Church.
Ruth is survived by: daughters, Patricia White, Loraine, TX, and Ernestine (Kenny) Sivils, Partridge; granddaughter, Valerie (Virgil) Pruitt; grandson, Tracy (Karen) Sivils; granddaughter, Tawnya (Doug) Harner; grandson, Mark Segraves; great-grandchildren, Keegan and Victoria Pruitt, Ashley White and Brittany Flores, Connor and Brock Sivils, Colby, Shelby and Haley Harner, Logan and Finn Segraves; and great-great-grandson, Jacob White.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; three sisters; five brothers; grandson, Eugene White II; and son-in-law, Eugene White.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2019, at Partridge Community Church, with Pastor Sheridan Irick officiating. Burial will follow in Partridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Partridge Community Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.

Carol Raya, 65, of Hutchinson, passed away on May 11, 2019 at her home in the presence of her family. She is home now with her Lord Jesus. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8. Carol was born on June 20, 1953, the daughter of Claude Dewey and Mavis Lorraine (Graves) Bishop. She was one of twelve siblings and was blessed to be part of a close extended family.
She was a loving, kind and beautiful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Carol was a member of CrossPoint Church in Hutchinson. Carol was a loving mother to Dawn (Shawn) Cole , Jaime (Adam) Long, Nicolette (Jason) Lindstrom and Nicholas (Kristal) Raya. She was loved dearly by her nine grandchildren Brooke, Noah, Benjamin, Ava, John, Jacob, Natalie, Draven and Asher.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 16th, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m., at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th St. Hutchinson, KS.
A Graveside Service to be held at 2 p.m. Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd., Hutchinson, KS. Followed by a Celebration of Life gathering at Richman Arboretum, 2801 Dillon Ave, Hutchinson, KS. 5 pm. – 8 pm.
