Opinion: Demand “Border Security First” Bill

govt
Every since the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) (the Reagan amnesty bill) Congress has been lying to the American people. Under IRCA the border was going to be secured, benefits to illegal aliens would be cut off, it was made illegal for people to employ illegals, the immigration laws were actually going to be enforced and on and on. The problem had been going on for much longer than 1986. The Supreme Court noted in 1982 that the country had been plagued by a “…failure of enforcement of the immigration laws over more than a decade…”

The 1986 amnesty was handed out not because these law breakers deserved it but to prove we are a compassionate peoples or so we were told. I was surprised our compassion was in question in the first place.

Of course under IRCA the border security was going to be in the future, and the laws cutting off benefits were loaded with loop holes and those laws that had not been enforced for the prior twelve years were not enforced nor was the other immigration laws really enforced including that on prohibiting the hiring of illegal aliens.

The “first last and only amnesty ” turned into six more amnesty bills through 2007.

Now over forty (40) years later we are hearing the same lies and largely from the same GOP / Demo elitist / globalist.
Of course there are some new faces such as the crown prince of the elitist GOP leadership, Marco Rubio. We are suppose to love this young, dynamic, Hispanic whose primary purpose is to lead “We the Grassroots” GOPers to the Moderate side and to promote another “scamnesty” immigration bill.

Let’s look at what Rubio has said he supports and what he and the “gang of eight” (GOE) are actually promoting.

1. Rubio says he is against amnesty and the GOE is not amnesty.

The GOE bill promotes immediate amnesty , it’s called “Registered Provisional Immigrant” (RPI).

(The use of the term “Immigrant” is a psychological ploy to give these alien lawbreakers an air of legitimacy in the mind of Americans. Recall we started out with “illegal aliens”, then “illegal immigrants” then “undocumented aliens” then undocumented immigrants or workers” and then “undocumented Americans” (by Harry Reid). It’s like the game played with global cooling” that turned into “global warming” to “climate change” to “climate reality”. Let’s call them what they are “”Registered Provisional Illegal / Unlawful Aliens”. If Congress will not be honest about what these folks are how can we trust them to be honest about anything else?)

2. Rubio says he is against giving illegal aliens any federal benefits. (see endnote iii)

The GOE bill allows illegal aliens to get state and local welfare benefits and there are enormous loopholes which allow illegal aliens and their families to get federal welfare benefits. (see endnote iv)

3. Rubio is against letting criminal aliens and gangsters stay in the country. (see endnote iii)

The GOE allows criminal aliens and cartel gangsters to remain in the U.S. by having exceptions for ” juvenile” gangsters, those that have plead down from felonies to misdemeanors, those arrested for felonies but not yet convicted and allows the Department of Homeland in-Security to waive this restriction on anyone. (see endnote iv)

4. Rubio will only support a bill that provides for border security before any accommodations to illegal aliens.

The GOE promises future border security but will give amnesty “Registered Provisional Immigrant” status within six month from the passage of the GOE bill. Of course this is just like every prior immigration bill. (see endnote iv)

5. Rubio wants the immigrations laws to be enforced. (see endnote iii)
The GOE does nothing new to ensure that the immigration laws are enforced. In fact it prohibits the application of current rules on those likely to become a “charge of the state” to get illegals out under the GOE bill. It requires the Department of Homeland in-Security to report on its own progress to change the enforcement mechanics. (see endnote iv)

6. Rubio wants illegal aliens to pay their back taxes. (see endnote iii)

The GOE is set up so that very few illegal aliens will be paying any back taxes and those that do will not be paying all their back taxes. This is accomplished largely through definitional finagling. (see endnote iv)
The bottom line is that Congress (our governments) has been violating their oath of office on immigration for going on a half century and worse lying to us. It has been both Demos and the GOP. They have violated their primary duty to secure our rights .

Their violations have costs us billions of dollars and over a hundred thousand lives of our fellow citizens and permanent resident aliens. They have blamed us for their failings and have called us “racists” and “bigots” because we dared question their plan to dilute our citizenship and balkanize our Republic.

We must not allow them to tell us the same lies once again. It is time to show some righteous indignation and some supervisory initiative. We need to convince them by whatever (legal) means necessary that they will pay a political price if they do anything but pass a border security only bill. We can talk about the rest of the immigration issue once we see how that pans out in a couple of years.

The next time one of our Congressmen say that our immigration system is broken yell back “No that is a lie! Our politicians are corrupt!”

OPINION: Enemy Of The State

Screen Shot 2013-04-21 at 10.34.46 AMBy Richard D. Fry

Friday Forbes ran an excellent OP/ED calling to task Sen. Lindsey Graham for calling for the declaration of the “Boston Marathon Suspect” as an “enemy combatant” and thereby nullifying his constitutional rights. Yes it’s the application of the “law of war” to a U.S. citizen within the U.S. as contemplated by the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012.

One of our most fundamental principles in this Republic is that of one being “innocent until proven guilty” and another is affording one fundamental unalienable rights to ensure they are not denied Life, Liberty or Property without due process of law. Sen. Graham’s proposed principle is that of “hang them and then give them a fair trial”.

The Forbes article did not mention that the NDAA 2012 has been found unconstitutional by a federal District Court.

The damage to the Republic done by the cowardly Boston Bombing is nowhere close to the danger that Sen. Graham’s heretical proposals and actions pose for the Republic. In essence the NDAA Act calls for the selective application of martial law to citizens at the discretion of the Executive Branch. This is an action only possible by converging the legislative , judicial and executive power of the government on one person, the President. Of this James Madison said:

” The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.”

The next step has already been declared available. Under the New Republic being established by the globalist Grahamites the Executive has the authority to call for the targeted killing of the “Boston Marathon Suspect”. The Executive did not do this but only because it chose not to do it. The timing simply was not right. Under Graham’s Brave New Republic “We the People” must rely upon the Government’s noblesse oblige not to abuse us rather than the rule of law.

Germany had its “Leader” #Der Führer# and now it appears we will have our Der Ausübend #Executive#.

Senator Lindsey Graham is an apostate of fundamental American principles and one of the most dangerous persons to our Liberty. He and his Gang of Apostates, Senators John McCain, Carl Levin, Kelly Ayotte should be politically sequestered and dealt with for their violations of their oath to protect the Constitution before their cancer spreads further. In the words of Chief Justice John Marshal they have committed “treason to the constitution. ”

Lindsey Graham and his gang are enemies of the Republic.

OPINION: Bipartisan Betrayal Of America Part 2

More Lies on Amnesty Part 2

Last night on Face the Nation Sen. Lindsey Graham said the AFL-CIO and Chamber of Commerce cut a deal which will pave the way for “immigration reform”. There was no discussion about what the people want. It is socialists and fascist that are driving the agreement.

Key Provisions

The key provisions of this latest scamnesty bill is simply a rehash of the 2007 Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, which was also pushed by Graham, that America overwhelmingly rejected. A “path way to citizenship”, pay a fine, pay back taxes, learn English, go to the back of the line etc.

This is of course amnesty no matter how you cut it. Any of these illegals that have been living here any time at all have committed felonies in the form of perjury, use of fraudulent identification, tax evasion, or miss reporting income and welfare fraud. It is once again making a mockery of our laws and treating honest Americans as second class citizens.

Gov. Bill Richardson, one of the panelist, was quick to pipe up that he is a Hispanic and we need to be sure not to make any of this too onerous on the illegals nor should it take too long.

Cost of Illegal Immigration

Amnesty will increase illegal alien invasion of the U.S. as it has in the past. In 1986 we had 3.2 million illegals now we have 20-30 million.

Also the level of legal immigration will go up dramatically through chain migration as instituted by Teddy Kennedy and the Progressives. It was estimated that had the 2007 Amnesty Act passed that within a decade we could have had an additional 80 million immigrates through chain immigration. That would be almost 25% of the population.

The Progressives and GOP elitists like McCain and Graham divorced immigration from the national interest and based it on principles of “social justice” and social engineering. The plan is to overwhelm America economically and to dilute it culture.

It has also cost 100,000 citizens their lives at the hands of illegal aliens in this country since September 11, 2001.

Immigration and the Budget

It was interesting that Graham noted a linkage between immigration and the budget. The GOP elitist and the Progressive will try to make the American people [conservatives] believe that they had to give something up on immigration to get something on the budget. In reality they will both get exactly what they wanted in the first place.

The bottom line is that no quid pro quo between the budget and immigration is acceptable.

Baiting Fiscal Conservatives

The globalist gang is playing to the weak spot among the conservative coalition. That spot is those in the hardcore fiscal conservative camp who put fiscal matters above all else even Liberty and the Constitution.

We constitutional conservatives understand that taxing and spending is but a symptom. The root problem is that our elected officials no longer listen to us and don’t follow the Constitution. Following the founding principles will necessarily led to a limited and fiscally responsible government. The reverse is not true.

Many have been programmed to believe that a consumption tax (FAIR Tax) or a flat tax will solve all our problems, this is nonsense. NAZI Germany, Mao’s China, communist Russia all could have been operated on a consumption or flat tax. Such does not prevent deficit spending or limit the power of the government to borrow or print money.

Balance Budget and the Con Con

This is the same mistake those that grasp at the balanced budget amendment. Forty Nine states have balanced budget requirements and most of them are broke. Kansas is billions in the red in “off budget” liabilities. But fiscal conservatives willingly take this bait as well. This is the basis for the majority of the promotions behind a very dangerous Constitutional Convention.

The only reason this ploy was not used in the recent attempt by Secretary Kobach, Representatives Brett Hildabrand, Lance Kinzer, Keith Esau and Senator Mary Cook to request a federal Constitutional Convention is that Kansas already has a request for a balance budget federal constitutional amendment dated from the 1970s.

Adherence to the Constitution

There is no quick or easy fix to our problems and our problems are not fiscal they are political. Our public servants now work for the special interests that feed them including the corrupt political parties.

Recall the recent date rape and beating the GOP elitists gave the grass roots in Tampa followed by the vengeful attack by Speaker Boehner against Congressmen Tim Huelskamp (Kansas) and Justin Amash (Michigan), Walter Jones (North Carolina) and David Schweikert (Arizona). Their common sin was they all resisted the citizen detention provisions of the NDAA and they are all fiscal hawks

The GOP is planning another assault on the grass roots (conservatives) in its upcoming summer meeting. Watch the state and local GOP stand by and watch.

If we re-establish the Constitution that would necessarily mean an end to federal involvement in education, housing, business regulation, stealing of our private property ending the private banking cartel known as the Federal Reserve System just to name a few.

Conclusion

We the People need to develop the testicular mass and ossification of our spines to make these politicians listen. It will not be easy nor will it be pleasant and likely it will be loud but it is the only way. They must be brought to heel or all is lost and we will be monkeys on their golden chains.

OPINION: Bipartisan Betrayal Of America

Screen Shot 2013-04-09 at 6.06.32 AMBy Richard D Fry
More Lies on Amnesty

I just watched Senators John McCain and Charles Schumer on Face the Nation. The host said it was a historical event to have the two Senators on at the same time and on the same side of the table.
The Host noted they were part of the bipartisan effort working on immigration reform (pushing “comprehensive immigration”#. This is like saying that Benedict Arnold and the British were part of a bipartisan effort to end the war in defense of our independence against England.

McCain has been a supporter of open borders and open immigration since before the great amnesty of 1986. The 1986 amnesty was promised to be the first and last blanket amnesty. Immigration law was to be toughened and enforced. It was toughened but was not enforced. This was the first lie told to the American people on amnesty.

From 1986 until 2000 there were six more amnesties. Since 2000 there have been numerous amnesties including “administrative” amnesties. This was the second series of lies told to the American people.
Sense 1986 we can hardly count the number of lies the Congress #GOPs and Democrats# have told the American people about immigration. There was the promises to secure the border. Recall the promise to build a security fence followed by the passage of a bill to do so without funding and then the funding of it which was subsequently defunded. Another lie told to the America public.

I remember standing in Harry Reid’s office talking to his head assistant on immigration. Her explanation of the defunding was that Senator Reid felt the money could be better spent elsewhere. Screw the promise made to the American people.

This is a reoccurring lies and is being told yet again. This morning John McCain told this lie yet again: “first we will secure the border”. No first you need to stop lying to the American people “Traitor” John.

You would do well to note that the amnesties and the lack of enforcement of immigration laws have occurred under both Republican and Democrat administrations. Just more proof that the elitist GOP leadership and the Progressive Democrats are simply different legs on the same pair of pants.

Recall that it was John McCain, Lindsey Graham , Teddy Kennedy and George Bush #43# that tried to engineer the great American give away with the Comprehensive Immigration Act of 2007. All are globalists.

Although over 70% of Americans did not want the amnesty Congress tried to cram it down our throats not unlike they did with Obama Care. John McCain and Lindsey Graham were calling we Americans opposed to amnesty “bigots” and “racist”. The citizen of this country only narrowly defeated the 2007 amnesty act. In fact it was a temporary victory because large parts of the Act were implemented piece meal in other acts.

Nancy Pelosi told a group of largely illegal aliens that they were the true “patriots” of America.

Unfortunately for her it was caught on video.
Teddy Kennedy was largely responsible for the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 signed by President Lyndon Johnson. In retrospect this bill was part of Johnson’s Great [New] Society program. One of its key components was the establishment of “chain immigration”. Under this concept those with family members already here get preference to immigrate. In reality it was a form of social engineering that would be used to balkanize America and as a transfer of wealth mechanism.
All nations rightfully use immigration to meet their national interests. Immigration until recently was not about the immigrates but about the host country and its labor and population needs. Congresswomen Barbara Jordan, chair of the U.S. Commission on Immigration Reform #1990-1997# “Jordan Commission” recognized this fundamental principle. She also recognized that if we cut of benefits and stop the job magnet we could regain control of illegal alien invasion. Of course the Progressive and elitist GOP already knew this and never had it in mind to implement.

The Progressives with the help of the GOP including those like McCain and Graham divorced immigration from the national interest and based it on principles of “social justice” and social engineering. Immigrates from less wealthy countries had a right to come here and get their “fair share”. It also helped to effectuate the Progressive /globalist belief that sovereign nations were a thing of the past i.e., borders are meaningless as is national identify.

By flooding America with immigrants without the means or ability to provide for themselves , a corner stone of all prior immigration policy, it facilitated a transfer of wealth in the form of welfare benefits to the aliens and public services including providing education and remittance by them #sending money to their home country# thereby economically straining America.

There has been more than a financial cost to allowing #facilitating# the invasion of illegal aliens in this country. Since September 11, 2001 there has been over 100,00 U.S. citizen and legal permanent residents that have been slaughter inside the U.S. by illegal aliens. That is equivalent to three 9-11 attacks per year. More U.S. citizens have dies than in all wars since the 19oos.
McCain and Graham and the rest of the gang-of-eight have blood on their hands.

Another lie that is told including by McCain this morning is that there are about 11 million illegals in this country. The Americana Legion in 2007 put the number at about 21.2 million. Now the number is closer to 30 million. That is almost 9% of our population. It was estimated that had the 2007 Act passed that through chain immigration within a decade we could have another 80 million immigrates. That is almost 25% of the population.
Yes indeed Obama and the rest of the globalist like McCain and Graham want to fundamentally transform this country and the world one illegal at a time.

Opinion: Huelskamp Speaks at Hutchinson

Submitted by R.D. Fry

Tim Huelskamp was the guest speaker at the Patriots Freedom Alliance monthly meeting on Tuesday April 2, 2013 in Hutchinson KS. His speaking was more of a pretext for the good members of the PFA to present him with an award for and to express their sincere appreciation of the Congressman’s steadfast support of conservative principles.

I was invited to the event and under orders from the Patriot Coalition’s (PC) National Director to attend. The PC has been following the Congressman since his opposition to the citizens detention provisions of the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012. He was only one of a handful who did so. The only Congressperson from Kansas to do so.

Congressman Huelskamp spoke sincerely but frankly about the situation he faces in (and we face from) Washington. I think for the most part he simply confirmed what most Kansans already know at some level. One could not help but feel his frustration and perhaps a hint of sadness.

The Executive Branch is not letting Congress know about what it is doing militarily. Imagine your Congressman having to find out from the news that the U.S. military was attacking Libya. Imagine the Executive not telling Congress if it had active military excursions into other areas of the world. Imagine its refusal to explain why it has purchased 1.6 billon rounds of operational (versus training) ammunition for homeland use over the last two years. (This is over a three hundred year supply.) Then there are the fiscal issues…very, very big fiscal issues.

As most informed patriots know Congressman Huelskamp paid a price for defending our Bill of Rights and being a fiscal hawk. He along with three other Congressmen were removed from their key committee appointments by Republican House Speaker Boehner and his henchmen. The only common factor between Huelskamp and Justin Amash (Michigan), Walter Jones (North Carolina) and David Schweikert (Arizona) was that they all have resisted the citizen detention provisions of the NDAA and they are all fiscal hawks.

Before the elitists / globalist Republican leadership started to recreate the GOP in a “moderate” image these were key principles of Republicans. Now they are key principles of conservatives but the Republicans are quickly abandoning them. The GOP’s new motto might well be reflected in Boehner’s statement “we are sent here not to be something, but to do something…” Apparently they are not sent to be “conservatives” but to comprise conservative principles.

I think the PFA and the Big One Tea Party of Hays as with most First District citizens are proud that Congressman Tim Huelskamp does stand and stand steady for something called conservative values. One could feel the admiration and pride coming from the crowd Tuesday.

Since the NDAA 2012 was passed Huelskamp and only a handful of Congressman have sought to fix these unconstitutional provisions that eviscerated over half of the bill of rights. He made our list. I was proud to present him with an certificate which read:

PATRIOT COALITION

CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION

OPINION: Unfit, Unfair

Last week’s online Kansas City Star led with this headline:  Unfit by any standards, legislators run amok.”

The story began, “The Kansas Legislature has made many jaw-dropping moves these last few months, but a Senate vote this week leaves us especially agog.  By a 25-14 vote, senators agreed to eliminate property taxes for many of the state’s private gyms and health clubs.”

Forget your workout at the local gym.  Let’s exercise our minds here.  The trail to truth is full of crooks and snags, but together we can get there.

This exhibition of favoritism is worthy of outrage on its own merits.  But with full knowledge of the Governor’s dramatic giveaway of income taxes, the consequent impoverishment of the state, and the ensuing blow of the property tax hammer on all of us, this bill exempting a private enterprise, thus enriching them at our expense, is especially egregious.

As for the Senate, why would, and how could, they?  As is evident elsewhere in state politics, $$ are involved–45 thousand of them, to be specific.  Even more specifically, the $45,000 donated by Rodney Steven, part owner of Genesis Health Clubs, to Senate Republicans.   His $$ influence was also evidenced in his and Genesis’ home base, Wichita.  He sought tax-free financing from the city for an expansion of his clubs in 2004, only to have the city back out of the deal. Steven filed a lawsuit over the perceived broken promise, but the city won.

That didn’t stop his dogged determination to buy politicians, local or state.  Steven and Genesis each gave maximum donations to Wichita Republican Sen. Michael O’Donnell, bolstering his campaign with $4,000 as he successfully unseated incumbent Republican Sen. Jean Schodorf (who has since left the Republican party) and beat Democrat Timothy Snow in the general election.  Not content to stay local, he also sent maximum donations to Senate President Susan Wagle and Senate Majority Leader Terry Bruce.

His thirst for special privilege was evidently not quenched by his liberation from state income taxes.   The Governor’s special tax program had already eliminated taxes on profits for 191,000 businesses, including several of Steven’s Genesis Health Clubs.

Since then, in a supposed attempt to ‘level the playing field,’ Steven has sought to force the YMCA to pay tax or some payment in lieu of taxes.   (Even though the Y, and other non-profits, make genuine efforts to make exercise affordable across a wide range of income levels.)

“Continuing to shrink the tax base in the face of severe spending cuts,” said Steven in 2011,  “really makes no sense.”  His efforts two years later make us doubt his sincerity.    If actions speak louder than words, his more likely 2013 quote would be,  “To hell with the tax base, we need our special privileges.”

The property tax break will cost the state treasury an estimated $4 million.  And that’s not the half of it—well, a bit more than the half of it.  The original proposal, rejected by the Senate, was for an additional $3.4 million in sales tax exemptions.  It’s like used-car dickering: Start with a really high price tag and make an outrageous cost more palatable.  Except used-car for-profit rehabilitators are much more honest than Steven’s used-body rehabilitation program, at state expense, i.e., at ours.

Area Senators voting for it were Sens. Arpke, Bowers, and Ostmeyer.  Senator Emler voted against it.  We can’t account for the other Senators’ votes, but perhaps Senator Arpke’s can be explained by his attitude toward corporations expressed in the recent legislative forum, to the effect that he thinks “corporations can do whatever they want with their money.”   And he seems eager to help them get more of ours to accomplish it.

Despite the Senate vote, it’s not too late.  SB72 has been referred to the House Taxation Committee.  Contact your local representative and tell them such special breaks have no place in state policy.

Perhaps it’s time for an Exodus from Genesis?

And as importantly, from the dogma that all private business is hallowed, and by definition provides much more efficient and superior service than publicly-funded entities–like community fitness centers and schools.

As for the Senate, as the Star article put it, “The new conservative majority has lost any standing to lecture Kansans about the need for fiscal responsibility.”

Screen Shot 2013-03-26 at 3.34.36 PMBy David Norlin

On our Iraq War’s 10th anniversary, here’s James Madison:

Of all the enemies to public liberty war is, perhaps, the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes; and armies, and debts, and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few. In war, too, the discretionary power of the Executive is extended; its influence in dealing out offices, honors, and emoluments is multiplied; and all the means of seducing the minds, are added to those of subduing the force, of the people. . . . . . . No nation [can] preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare.”

And Anne Gerrels, NPR reporter on Iraq:

“It was a terrible waste of money and lives. You know, Iraqis certainly don’t love us any more for what we did there. We really have gained very little. . . . . . The situation is far from resolved.  . . . . .The country is sliding more and more into an authoritarian regime. It is a tinderbox waiting to explode again.”

Rachel Maddow’s new book Drift, cuts to the sources of war, whose billion leeches now suck our very life-blood in this National Insecurity State.

We wouldn’t put up with it, except we are always fed a ‘Good Enemy.’   When everything is a War (on Iraq, on Afghanistan, on drugs, on terror), caution and reason fly out the window.

Maddow tells of her Massachusetts small-town pumphouse, recently enhanced by National Security Dollars.  About seven homes are actually on municipal water.  Yet the pumphouse’s entire half-acre is now ringed by an 8-foot-tall, chain-link, barbed-wire-topped fence, complete with electronically-controlled, motorized gate.

This waste is small potatoes, however, compared with nationwide ultra-high-security office space, enough to fill twenty-two US Capitol Buildings: seventeen million square feet of offices in thirty-three handsome and generously funded new complexes powered up twenty-four hours a day, where an army of nearly a million spies on the world and our homeland.  It’s as if, says Maddow, “we turned [all] of Detroit and Milwaukee into high-security-clearance spooks and analysts.”

Its crown jewel is Liberty Crossing, in Washington’s Virginia suburbs— an 850,000-square-foot complex housing the National Counterterrorism Center.   A $30 billion annual intelligence budget boosted by 250 percent has created “a clean, well-lighted edifice, concealed by GPS jammers and reflective windows, where intelligence collected by 1,271 government agencies and 1,931 private companies under government contract is supposedly coordinated.”

Will Congress cut this bloated budget?   No.  Our fear of The Enemy keeps it in place, while schools close, services are cut, and highways and bridges decay to dust.

It is not our enemies who have cut us off at the knees.  When you hear of Salina’s local economic boon from UAV’s, consider that military drones were 5% of military flying vehicles in 2005, and now constitute one-third of the fleet.  Consider that they are used for surveillance as well as killing.  And consider that they may be tested over Salina.

Our history of bad choices goes back to Ronald Reagan and before.  Reagan understood the power of The Enemy and exploited it.  He lost his early primaries.  No one wanted a misguided cowboy actor for President.  Yet, when he proclaimed we were losing the Panama Canal (yet another misguided statement), bellowing “Uncle Sam is not going to retreat with his tail between his legs,” he won every one.

Under his presidency, fact-free folk from Paul Nitze (arms control advisor) to William Casey (CIA director) kept him on a hard-right, fear-fueled track.

These ideological predecessors encouraged George W. Bush’s Gang Who Couldn’t Shoot Straight to limber their muscles proclaiming Saddam’s “mushroom cloud” WMD.

Such baloney can cause great harm.  It felled Phil Donahue, the only commercial media critic of the war, who was fired from MSNBC.

To truly know our Enemy, we must avoid deception.  Anthony Dimaggio, author of Mass Media, Mass Propaganda, put it well:

“When academics, journalists, pollsters, and politicians. . . . consciously ignore moral challenges to U.S. foreign policy, then [rational dialogue is] difficult, if not impossible.  Without such dialogue, it [is] difficult to . . . . challenge and reject official propaganda, misinformation, and lies.  On this 10-year anniversary, that dialogue is needed more than ever if [we hope to limit] future wars of aggression.”   And, I might add, to limit threats to our freedom.

As Pogo said, “We have met the Enemy–and he is us.”

Oklahoma Governor Kills Fourth Amendment Bill

In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way.
Franklin D. Roosevelt

A bill to protect the VI Amendment rights of Oklahoman’s, which enjoyed very strong popular support, was in essence killed by Gov. Mary Fallin (R#. The bill #HB1556) would have required the police to secure a search warrant before using drones to conduct surveillance of citizens and would have prohibited the placement of weapons on non-military drones.

Due to pressure from the governor’s office the bill was put “on hold until next session”. The facts suggest it will never see the light of day.

The reason for the pressure is that the governor #and others# have a vested interest in having drones and the drone industry in Oklahoma.

OK is in the running to be one of six states the FAA will choose to be a drone testing site.

The Unmanned Systems Alliance of Oklahoma #USA-OK# was setup in 2009 to sell the idea to make OK a principle player in the blossoming unmanned aerial systems industry. USA-OK is a state chapter of the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International #AUVSI#. It looks and sounds like a trade association except that according to the USA-OK web site it’s members “represent Oklahoma industry, academia, and government.” Yes it is a “public private partnership.”

The organization and management of this effort is not by citizens but by “stakeholders” in the industry. Each of stakeholders can anticipate securing some benefit whether financial or political by pushing UVSs.
If you look at the process by which USA-OK came about you will notice the same pattern that was and is being used to set up Regional Planning Organizations /Councils #RPO# which are being used to implement Sustainable Development and its property and Liberty robbing “Smart and Comprehensive Planning”. First, a “summit” is held #2009 in Guthrie for the UAS push# to explore the prospects .

These “summits” are attended by industry, government and academia “stake holders”. A second “summit” is then held #spring of 2010 in Lawton for OK’s UAS push# and along the line there is an organization left in place to perpetually push the agenda #USA-OK for the UAS in this case#.
This is close to the same method used to push Obama Care down our throats. Recall it was industry “stakeholders” and the government that set up exploratory counsels and commissions to decide what was best for us #in their opinion#. Of course what is “best for us” generally includes our losing our money or our Liberty or both!

Gov. Fallin was one of the “conservative” Republicans that tried to sneak Obama Care in on the OK citizens just like Brownback did #and is doing # in Kansas. Brownback was involved in setting up of the Together We Succeed Southeast Kansas Economic Improvement Initiative #TWS-SEK#: Project 17 which is a regional governance mechanism to implement Sustainable Development in Kansas. The contrivers held two “summits” with “stakeholders” and of course decided to set up the planning council TWS-SEK. The bait was “free federal dollars”. The price was Liberty.

In 2011, Gov. Fallin created the Unmanned Aerial Systems Council and appointed its members. They were all “stakeholders” #parties with a vested interest#.
I note that a major objective of these UVS “stakeholders” is to make the program / industry as “lean and green” as possible. Neat, the politicians have found a way to promote Sustainable Development via the UVS.

Fallin’s and the legislature’s holding this bill up because of the VI Amendment protection provisions clearly show there is an aspect of crony capitalism involved and they put their political interest ahead of the citizens’ rights and their own oath of office. Shameful.

Perhaps the UVS will give Fallin and Brownback a chance to work together to undermine the Republic. Wouldn’t that be wonderful!

I notice part of the object of the program in Oklahoma was to establish a drone fly corridor.

Those in Oklahoma should note that an effort has started by a RPO in Kansas, The Flint Hills Regional Council under the Frontier Project, to establish an Eco-Region comprising the tall grass prairie. This Eco-Region will run from north central Kansas to north central Oklahoma. The military is involved and part of the justification is to protect military bases in the area #Fort Riley# from human encroachment so they can maintain their national security mission which appears to be to get as many drones over the heads of U.S. citizens as possible.
