HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Patricia (Pat) Rose Landwehr Adelhardt, 83, of Partridge, died July 1, 2017, in Hutchinson. She was born on November 3, 1933, in rural Sharon to Herbert and Monica (Boor) Landwehr.
She married Ronald Adelhardt on Aug. 20, 1960, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sharon. He survives.
Pat was a graduate of St. Boniface Catholic School, a 1953 graduate of Sharon High School and a 1954 graduate of the Wichita American Business College. She worked as an administrative assistant for the National Gypsum Company in Medicine Lodge until 1960 and was a resident of Partridge for 57 years.
Pat was a homemaker. She loved ‘growing’ children, baking sweets, preserving garden produce, and giving to others. Pat loved being a Kansas girl, especially being shaped by the red hills of Barber County. Mostly, she loved God, her faith, and her family.
Other survivors include: daughters, Cindy Hertel (Joe) of Ellis, and Ronna Schultz (Doug) of Grainfield; son, Danny Adelhardt (Debi) of Wichita; daughter-in-law, Jackie Adelhardt of Nickerson; grandchildren, Sara Britton, Katie, Larry, John, Abby, Joseph, and Laurissa Adelhardt, Seri and Drew Hertel, Cas, Ty, and Tyra Schultz, and Reed Adelhardt; great-grandchildren, Cody and Jayci Ringwald, Kellyn and Kellyndra Britton, and Savannah Adelhardt; sisters, Teresa Smith (Richard) of Walnut Grove, Mo., Marcella Hansard of Wichita; brother, Herbert Landwehr (Vonda) of Sharon; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Larry Adelhardt; granddaughter, Rachel Adelhardt; grandson, Dal Schultz; sisters, Monica Ricke Hendricks, Cecelia Landwehr, Agatha Shogrin, Rose Leis and Louise Martin; and seven grandchildren named by God.
Parish rosary will be 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 612 S. Maple, South Hutchinson, officiated by Deacon Matt Davied. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson, with Father Ned J. Blick officiating. Burial will follow in Partridge Cemetery, Partridge. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2017, at Elliott Mortuary. Prior to the rosary, the family will greet friends from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at the church.
