HARVEY COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just after 3p.m. Sunday in Harvey County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Ruth Ellen Lott, 72, Peabody, was eastbound on U.S. 50.

The driver veered to avoid an unknown vehicle making a left turn at East Lake Road and struck a 2012 Dodge Journey driven by Wunderlick, Shawn Wunderlick, 62, Marion, who was preparing to make a right turn onto East Lake Road.

A passenger in the Hyundai Murray Lott was transported to the hospital in Newton. Ruth Lott and Wunderlick were not injured. All three were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
