A 12-year-old boy was taken to a Wichita hospital Sunday afternoon after a horse apparently fell on top of him.

According to the Reno County Sheriff’s Office, they responded along with Reno County EMS and District 4 fire units to the 21000 block of west Longview Rd.

In addition to the horse falling on the boy, it was also thought that he may have been struck by a horn or hoof, in the facial area also.

The boy was in stable condition when he was flown by Eagle-Med helicopter to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita

The accident reported around 2:15 p-m.
