HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Two people were arrested for operating an illegal tattoo parlor and drug possession.

Law enforcement took Thad Gumpenberger and Shannan Desmarais into custody around 8:45 p.m. on suspicion of possession of marijuana and operating a tattoo parlor without a license. Authorities served a search warrant on a residence at 1606 E. 6th Ave. and found a tattoo machine, ink appointment sheets and  13 grams of marijuana.

Gumpenberger is free on bond, while Desmarais is jailed on a bond of  $17,500.
