2-hospitalized after 3-vehicle Reno County crash

RENO COUNTY – Two people were injured in an accident just after 3p.m. Friday in Reno County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Dodge Charger driven by Jeremy Nelson, 44, Bucklin, was northbound on Burns Street in Turon.

The driver pulled out in front of a 2011 Ford Edge driven by Phyllis Wehling, 76, Pratt, that was westbound on Kansas 61 highway.

The Ford struck the Dodge. The collision caused the Ford to enter a ditch then collide with a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Marilyn Meier, 71, Pratt, in the driveway of the Turon Co-op.

Wehling and a passenger in the Jeep Meier, Donald Meier, 80, Pratt, were transported to the hospital in Hutchinson. There were no other injuries reported. All were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
