SALINE COUNTY  — Two people were injured in an accident just before 4p.m. Friday in Saline County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Toyota Highlander driven by Karl D. Musick, 71, Salina, was northbound on Interstate 135 five miles north of Moundridge.

Traffic was being funneled into the inside lane for an emergency on the outer shoulder. The Toyota rear-ended a 2015 Buick Encore driven by Eric A. White, 53, Wichita, that had slowed in the traffic.

Musick and a passenger Betty L. Musick, 76, Salina, were transported to the hospital in McPherson. White was not injured. All three were properly
restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
