NICKERSON, Kan. — A Claflin couple was injured in a motorcycle accident in northern Reno County Sunday afternoon.

The Reno County Sheriff’s office reports that 52-year-old Glenn Gabbard was going west on 101st Avenue when he failed to negotiate a curve. The bike left the road and flipped. Gabbard and his wife, 52-year-old Patty, were both airlifted to Wichita hospitals in serious condition.

The accident happened around 12:35 p.m. about 6 miles west of Nickerson.
