2 injured slightly after single vehicle accident

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Two teens were taken by private vehicle to the emergency room at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center after a single vehicle crash east of Hutchinson late Friday.

According to the Reno County Sheriff’s Office, 16-year-old Timothy L. Thornton of Hutchinson reports falling asleep while driving his 1992 red Chevy pickup in the 8000 block of E. 4th. His vehicle left the roadway to the right, traveling several feet in the north ditch. He hit a field access launching the vehicle into the air and landing on the other side.

Marissa L. Thornton, 15 was a passenger.

Both complained of general pain and were taken to emergency room by private vehicle.

The accident occurring just after 11:30 p.m.
