5-year-old Kan. girl critically wounded in drive-by shooting UPDATE

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — Topeka police say a 5-year-old girl was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries after being wounded in a drive-by shooting.

Police also asking for the public’s assistance in finding the suspect vehicle, which is described as silver or white with four doors.

The Topeka Capital-Journal reports  police also released photos of two men who investigators say may have more information about the shooting. Photos of the two men were captured in surveillance video.

Police say the girl was in a child seat in a vehicle when she was struck by a bullet during the drive-by shooting. Police Lt. Colleen Stuart identified the young victim as Lily Nichols. She says the child was still on life support Tuesday evening.
