The Attorney General’s Office will celebrate National Consumer Protection Week next week with events throughout the state

Securely shredding personal documents is an important step to preventing identity theft.

On Monday, March 3, from 11 a-m – 1 p-m, there will be free document destruction at the Dillon’s Parking Lot, 1321 N. Main.

Then at noon, there will be a consumer protection presentation to the Rotary Club at the Ramada Inn Convention Center, 1400 N. Lorraine in Hutchinson.

Residents are asked to limit their documents for destruction to three small bags or boxes.
