JUNCTION CITY – The Geary County Sheriff’s Department is confirming Shane Olberding, 19, of Abilene was killed in a one vehicle accident early Sunday morning in the 6000 block of Old Highway 40.

The scene of the accident was approximately four to five miles west of Junction City.

Geary County Undersheriff Tony Wolf said Olberding was westbound on Old 40. The vehicle lost control, rolled into a ditch, and Olberding was ejected. Olberding was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said the vehicle overturned multiple times.

The accident occurred just before 3:45 a-m, Sunday.
