NEWTON – Two people were taken to a Wichita hospital after a one vehicle accident on I-135 Monday morning in Harvey County. Injured were 47-year-old Jill and 18-year-old Jaci Garver, both of Newton.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Jill Garver was southbound in the right lane of the interstate when her left rear tire blew out. She then lost control and rolled coming to rest on the passenger side.

Jill Garver was wearing a seatbelt, while 18-year-old Jaci was not. Both were transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for treatment of injuries.

The accident occurring around 9:30 a-m, just south of the junction with K-196 in southern Harvey county.
