HAYS – One person was killed, another injured after a head-on collision in Ellis County Monday.

Killed was 18-year-old Trevor Houston Greathouse of Larned, while 48-year-old Charles Paul McGinnes of Hays was injured and taken to the Hays Medical Center.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Greathouse was northbound, while McGinnes was southbound and the two vehicles collided hitting each other head-on.

The accident occurring around 9:40 a-m Monday morning on U-S 183, about 8-miles south of Hays.
