Two Schuyler, Nebraska men were killed in a pickup-semi crash in Pawnee County Tuesday evening.

Pronounced dead at the scene was 23-year-old Portillo Efrain-Carrera who was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 33-year-old Fidel Portillo-Moyao. He was taken to the Pawnee Valley Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The two were east-bound on U-S 56 when they lost control of their F-150 pickup and crossed into the west-bound lanes where they collided with a Peterbuilt semi driven by 31-year-old Eric William Peters of Gretna, Nebraska. He was not injured.

The accident occurring around 7 p-m, Tuesday evening on U-S 56, about 2-miles west of K-19 in Pawnee County.
