Accident In Reno County Sends Medicine Lodge Man To Local Hospital

An 18-year-old Medicine Lodge man was transported to the hospital after a one vehicle accident in the county Wednesday night.

According to Reno County Sheriff Captain Wayne Baughman, deputies were sent to the 7400 block of West Morgan Road around 9:44 p-m. When they arrived, they made contact with the driver, Charles Medina-Rhoads.

He said that he was driving east on Morgan Rd., in a 1994 Ford Explorer, when he saw something in the road and swerved. When doing so, he over corrected, which caused the vehicle to go out of control sideways and then it rolled on its top coming to rest in the middle of the road. Rhoads was wearing his seat-belt, however he did have some minor lacerations and was also complaining of some pain in the rib area. He was transported by Reno County EMS to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for Treatment.
