WICHITA – One man is dead, another injured after a two vehicle accident in Sedgwick County Monday morning.

According to Sedgwick County Sheriff officials, just before 9 a-m, Monday, deputies responded to the accident at 135th Street West and 39th Street South.

They found the a vehicle driven by 82-year-old Jack Paulson had been struck by a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Cody Hart.

Hart was flown by Eagle-Med helicopter to Via-Cristi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in critical condition, where he later died early Tuesday morning from his injuries. He was apparently thrown from his vehicle at impact.

Paulson was taken by Sedgwick County E-M-S, also to St. Francis where he was treated for minor injuries.

The accident remains under investigation according to Sheriff officials.
