Accident In Southern Kansas Kills Oklahoma Man

A 53-year-old Oklahoma man was killed in a one vehicle accident in Barber County Monday.

Robert W. Hyde of Burlington, Oklahoma was southbound in his Chevy truck on Bluestem Road, when for an unknown reason, he drove off the left side of the roadway, then vaulted over Stateline Road where the vehicle overturned and ejected the driver.

Hyde was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident occurring right around 11 p-m, two and half miles south of Kiowa, in Barber County.
