COLDWATER – A 49-year-old Coldwater woman was killed in a one vehicle accident early Wednesday morning in Comanche County. Killed was Barbara S. Ardery.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, she was traveling south on U-S 160 and lost control of her vehicle, went left of center, then into the ditch and rolled. She was thrown from the vehicle, then the vehicle came to rest in a pasture upright facing northeast.

The exact time of the accident isn’t known, but the highway patrol estimated it as occurring at approximately 4 a-m.
