Accident in western Kansas kills Kansas City man

BUCKLIN – A Kansas City man was killed in a two vehicle accident in western Kansas late Friday.

Dead is 22-year-old Mat Sdit. He was taken to Western Plains Regional Hospital in Dodge City where he was pronounced dead by hospital officials.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Sdit was eastbound on U-S Highway 54 when he went left of center was struck on his passenger side by semi driven by 57-year-old Ronald Turner of Kansas City, Kansas. He wasn’t injured, but his 57-year-old wife, Patricia Turner who was in the sleeper of the cab had a possible injury, however, she was not transported.

The accident occurring just before midnight about 3-miles east of the K-34 junction near Bucklin in Ford County.
