An 80-year-old Abbyville woman was taken to the hospital Monday after she crashed her vehicle into a utility pole.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Esther Pauline Nisley was southbound on K-14, when her vehicle left the roadway into the east ditch, where she struck a power pole before her vehicle overturned.

She was wearing a seatbelt according to the Highway Patrol report, but was still transported by Reno County E-M-S to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The accident occurring around 1:30 p-m, just south of Clark Road on K-14.
