A 44-year-old El Dorado Man was taken to the hospital in McPherson after his construction zone vehicle was struck from behind on K-61. Taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries was Kenneth Craig Castro.

Castro was northbound in his truck when a northbound semi driven by 57-year-old Robert Pierce of Hutchinson struck the left rear of his vehicle. Pierce was pulling a 2006 Great-dane trailer behind the Freightliner semi he was operating. He was not injured.

The accident occurring around 8:30 a-m, Wednesday morning, a quarter mile south of Buckskin Road near the Reno County line on K-61 in McPherson County.
