We now know the names of the two people badly injured in a three vehicle accident at 43rd and Lorraine on Wednesday.
According to Sheriff Captain Wayne Baughman, a 2003 Cadillac driven by 69-year-old Joan Tolar of Hutchinson was west bound on 43rd and failed to yield to a south bound 2002 Buick, driven by 20-year-old James Lambert of Buhler which wes struck the passenger side. The Buick then struck a 2012 Chevy that was sitting at the stop sign for east bound traffic on 43rd. It was driven by 18-year-old Megan Ellegood, 18, of Hutchinson
Tolar and Ellegood were wearing seat belts, Lambert was not wearing a seat belt.
Tolar was transported by Reno County EMS to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center with serious injuries, while Lambert was transported to the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center and then taken to a Wichita hospital where he is still listed in critical condition. Ellegood was not injured.
That accident occurring around 2:50 p-m, Wednesday.
