A North Newton woman was taken to a Wichita hospital in critical condition after her vehicle collided with a semi near the Harvey County town of Walton.

Injured was 25-year-old Rebecca Buchta who was eastbound on U-S 50. She apparently crossed the center line and struck a semi driven by 43-year-old Michael Parks of Necedah, Wisconsin. He was not injured.

Buchta was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for treatment of her injuries.

The accident occurring about 12:40 p-m Thursday afternoon, 2-miles east of Walton.
