UPDATE: Accident involving school bus sends two to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center

43rd & Plum accident

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Two people were injured after a three vehicle accident on the north side of the city Tuesday afternoon. Included in the collision was a Buhler School District bus, however there were no kids on the bus at the time and the driver was not injured..

However, the drivers of the two private vehicles involved in the crash were transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment. They were identified as 93-year-old Madeline Leonard and 64-year-old Jennalee Boggs.

Leonard was cited for failing to stop at the stop sign and her vehicle was then struck by Boggs. Both vehicles then struck the school bus.

The accident occurring at around 2:30 p.m., at 43rd & Plum.
