Two people were taken to the hospital in Pratt after a two vehicle accident in Pratt County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Steele Ward of Cunningham had stopped on U-S 54, and was attempting to make a left turn on to Northeast 100th Avenue. His vehicle was then struck from behind by a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Joseph Rimicci of Oak Brook Terrace, Illinios. He apparently couldn’t see Ward’s vehicle because of heavy rain.

Ward and his passenger, 18-year-old Kalei Henning of Kingman were both taken to Pratt Regional Medical Center with possible injuries. Rimicci was not injured.

The accident occurring around 12:50 p-m, Monday afternoon.
