Accident West Of Hutchinson Injures One

Police-graphic3

One person was taken to the hospital after a one vehicle accident west of Hutchinson Wednesday morning.

It was reported just before 10 a-m, when Reno County Sheriff’s Deputies, Hutchinson Fire, and Reno County EMS responded to the crash scene at Nickerson Blvd. and Wilshire Dr.

Apparently a 2005 Ford F-150, driven by 33-year-old Samuel Seybert of Hutchinson was driving northwest on Nickerson Blvd. He attempted to make a left turn onto Wilshire Dr., and his vehicle went off the left side of the roadway, into the ditch on the east side of Wilshire Dr., He then went through the ditch along the south side of Nickerson Blvd., and then crossed Nickerson Blvd., and then into the north ditch where he then struck a fence and tree.

Seybert was transported to Hutch Regional Medical Center by Reno County EMS with unknown injuries.

A 10-year-old boy in the vehicle was not injured. Both Seybert and his passenger were wearing their seat-belts at the time of the crash.

Sheriff officials believe that Seybert may have been suffering some type of medical issue that rendered him unable to drive the vehicle at the time of the crash.
