Advance voting for Buhler Bond Issue brisk

Advance voting for the Buhler School District bond issue continues to be brisk. Voters will be asked to cast a ballot on a 44.9-million dollar facilities improvement bond issue next Tuesday. But, voters have been able to cast an advanced ballot since May 22nd. And according to the numbers, 280 ballots have been cast in person at the court house and another 259 have been mailed back to the Clerks office.

The Clerks office asks that if you want an advanced ballot mailed to you that you make that request no later than noon Friday. All mailed ballots must be returned to the court house no later that 12 noon on Monday June 4th. Patrons of USD-313 will be able to vote in person at the court house until the same Monday deadline.

If approved, the bond issue would fund construction of a new elementary school along east 43rd, closing Prosperity and Obee schools and make major renovations to Buhler High School and other district buildings.
